To our shareholders and investors,
Let me express my sincere appreciation for your continued support and understanding. My name is Masahito Enomoto, and I assumed the role of President and Representative Director of FURYU CORPORATION as of June 24, 2025.
FURYU’s origins date back to 1997, when a new entertainment business was launched within OMRON Corporation. In 2003, the business was spun off into OMRON Entertainment Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary. Then, in 2007, it became an independent company through a management buyout and was established as FURYU CORPORATION. Today, our primary business areas include the “SEKAIKAN Business,” in which we develop character IP across a wide range of products such as plush toys exclusively for amusement arcade prize machines, hobby figures, games, and anime, and the “GIRLS Trend Business,” which centers on our founding product – the photo sticker machine – and related web services, targeting primarily young women.
In recent times, the global economic outlook has become increasingly uncertain, with financial markets facing instability due to inflationary pressures and concerns over trade policies such as tariffs. Even under such conditions, the value that “entertainment” brings to people’s lives continues to grow, and we believe that “entertainment” has the potential to become a leading industry that represents Japan. We at FURYU aim to be integral to that evolution through our various businesses. We have long delivered the experience of “becoming kawaii” through photo sticker machines and have provided “kawaii” plush toys and figures as prizes in crane games—in other words, we have been in the business of producing “kawaii” for many customers across Japan.
Looking ahead, we are working diligently toward achieving the goals of our Medium-term Vision, which concludes in the fiscal year ending March 2028. By leveraging our unique strength in producing “kawaii,” we are taking on new challenges, including overseas expansion, to grow as a company that creates quality entertainment.
For the fiscal year ending March 2026 (FY2025), we forecast consolidated net sales of 45.0 billion yen (up 1.6% from 44.273 billion yen in the previous fiscal year), consolidated operating profit of 3.0 billion yen (up 27.9% from 2.239 billion yen), consolidated ordinary profit of 3.0 billion yen (up 31.6% from 2.280 billion yen), and profit attributable to owners of parent of 2.15 billion yen (up 32.2% from 1.627 billion yen).
We are fully committed to achieving growth in both sales and profits. In the SEKAIKAN Business, we aim to increase revenue through our overseas operations, particularly by accelerating our expansion in China. In the GIRLS Trend Business, we plan to increase the number of photo sticker plays to approximately 31 million (compared to about 30 million previous fiscal year), and promote the premiumization of PiCTLINK members, targeting 1.24 million paid members by the end of FY2025 (compared to 1.37 million at the end of the previous fiscal year). As for the FURYU New Business, we expect significant improvement in profitability following the withdrawal from unprofitable segments in FY2024. In June, we established FURYU Pictures Inc. as a wholly owned subsidiary specializing in anime production. Through this company, we aim to adapt strong IP into anime and expand into character merchandising.
As part of our company-wide expenses, we are advancing comprehensive reforms to our organizational culture and talent development, which are essential to realizing our Medium-term Vision, and are in the process of fundamentally reviewing conventional definitions and measures. These efforts are reflected in the allocation of support costs to each segment.
Under our corporate philosophy, “Create quality entertainment that brings happiness and fulfillment to people,” we will continue working as one team to deliver compelling, high-quality products and services. Believing in the limitless potential of “entertainment,” we remain dedicated to shaping a better future together.
We sincerely ask for your continued understanding and support.
Masahito Enomoto
President
FURYU CORPORATION
